Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Air Force
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu is the current Chief of Air Staff of Pakistan Air Force. He replaced Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan as the head of the Air force on March 19, 2021. President of Pakistan Doctor Arif Ur Rehman Alvi appointed him as Chief of Air Staff Pakistan Air Force on the advice of Imran Khan prime minister of Pakistan. He was serving as Director General administrative affairs prior to taking over as Air Chief Air Force. ACM Zaheer Ahmed Babar has served at the Air Headquarters as Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations Research and Development), Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Training Officers) and Director General of Projects and he also served as an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Defense. He has commanded a fighter squadron, an operational air base and regional air command. He has been awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his meritorious services. On March 18, 2024, when his three-year tenure was to be completed, the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari extended the tenure of the Air Chief by one year on the advice of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar was born on, in Gujrat District Punjab, Pakistan. His family hails from village Sidh Tehsil Kharian District Gujrat, Punjab. He was commissioned in GD (P) Branch of Pakistan Air Force in December, 1986. He is a qualified Flying Instructor and graduate of Combat Commanders School, Command and Staff College Jordan, Air War College Faisal and National Defence University Islamabad.
