Syed Murad Ali Shah was elected Chief Minister of Sindh with 112 votes while Ali Khurshidi recevied 36 votes. He is s elected the Sindh chief minister for the third time in a row. Murad had previously held the position of provincial chief executive from 2016 to 2018 and from 2018 to 2023. Syed Murad Ali Shah was born on November 8, 1962 in Karachi. Murad Ali Shah matriculated from Saint Patricks High School, did intermediate study at D. J. Sindh Government Science College Karachi, and was admitted to the engineering programme at the NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi. he went to the United States and attended Stanford University in California where he completed his M.Sc. in structural engineering. He completed a second masters from Stanford University two years later in economic systems where again he was on an international scholarship. His father Syed Abdullah Shah was also served as Chief Minister of Sindh province from October 21, 1993 to November 6, 1996.
