Babar Saleem Swati Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Babar Saleem Swati is the current speaker of KPK Assembly Peshawar. Babar Saleem Swati has been elected speaker of KPK Provincial Assembly. On 29 February 2024, he was elected as Speaker of the KPK Assembly. He received 89 votes against his opponent Ehsan Ullah Mainkhel who secured 17 votes. He has taken oath which is administered by Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani outgoing speaker KPK Assembly on same day. Politically he is affiliated with Sunni Ittehad Council SIC. He is elected Member of the KPK Provincial Assembly from PK-37 Mansehra in general elections 2024. He served as Advisor to the Chief Minister KPK on Home and Tribal Affairs from October 2022 till January 2023.

Babar Swati was born on June 3, 1962 in Swat KPK . He attended Islamia Public School in Mansehra and continued his education at Edwards College, excelling in his FSC exam with a focus on pre-engineering. Swati later earned a BS (Hons) degree in Geology from the University of Peshawar. In General election 2018, he was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a candidate of PTI from Constituency PK-31 Mansehra.
