Sikandar Sultan Raja is the current the chief election commissioner of Pakistan. He assumed the office on January 27 , 2020. Doctor Arif Alvi President of Pakistan appointed him as a CEC on the advice of Prime minister after the parliamentary committee unanimous approved his name as of New Chief Election Commission of Pakistan . Doctor Sakandar Sultan Raja took oath as CEC on January 27 , 2020 . Sakandar Sultan Raja is retired bureaucrat. He has the honour of having served at top bureaucratic positions such as the Railways Secretary, Petroleum Secretary, SAFFRON Secretary, Federal Secretary Aviation and Chief Secretary of both Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Sikandar Sultan Raja was born in a village in Tehsil Bhera District Sargodha His father was an officer in Pakistan Army. He was schooled at the Government High School Bhera and later went to the Cadet College Hasan Abdal for further education. He passed his CSS Exam in 1987 and join civil service of Pakistan in DMG group. During his service career he held many important positions , including the post of deputy commissioner Islamabad. He was also posted as director general Excise & Taxation Punjab, provincial secretary Communications & Works Punjab, provincial secretary Services & General Administration Punjab, and director general Immigration & Passports in the federal government of Pakistan.
