Information about Parliament of Pakistan . Majlis-e-Shoora ( Parliament ) of Pakistan is the federal and supreme legislative body of Pakistan. Parliament .Parliament of Pakistan consisting of the President and two Houses to be known respectively as the National Assembly and the Senate. It is a bicameral federal legislature that consists of the Senate as the upper house and the National Assembly as the lower house and the President of Pakistan is also a component of the Parliament. Qaumi Assembly is the lower house of the parliament. The National Assembly of Pakistan is the sovereign legislative body of country. Aiwan-e Bala Senate of Pakistan is equal representation to all the federating units since the membership of the National Assembly is based on the population of each province.

Pakistan Federal Parliament Information
The National Assembly is elected for a five year term on the basis of adult franchise and one man one vote. The tenure of the National Assembly also comes to an end if dissolved on the advice of the Prime Minister. The Senate, is a body which represents the provinces/territories of the country and promotes a feeling of equality. Senate is a permanent House and the constitution does not allow for the dissolution of the Senate. The term of its member is six years, however, one half of its members retire after every three years.
