Syed Awais Qadir Shah
Syed Awais Qadir Shah is the current speaker of Sindh Assembly Karachi . On 25 February 2024, he was elected as Speaker of the Sindh Assembly. He received 111 votes against his opponent Sofia Saeed Shah who secured 36 votes . He has taken oath which is administered by Agha Siraj Durrani outgoing speaker of Sindh Assembly on same day. Politically he is affiliated with Pakistan Peoples Party PPP. He is elected Member of the Sindh Provincial Assembly from PS-23 Sukkur in general elections 2024. He served as an MPA from 2013 to 2018 and from 2018 to 2023. Syed Owais Qadir Shah also served as Minister of transport and mass transit in the cabinet of CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.
