Senate Opposition Leader

Senator Syed Yousif Raza Gillani is the Opposition Leader of Senate of the Pakistan. He assumed office from 26th March 2021. He is vice chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party. Syed Muhammad Yousif Raza Gillani is former prime minister of Pakistan from 25 March 2008 to 25 April 2012. He was the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 17 October 1993 to 16 February 1997. Yousuf Raza Gillani served as the Minister for Railways during 1985-1988 of prime minister Muhammad Khan Junejo. He served as the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Housing Work Force in the government of Banazir Bhutto Prime Minister of Pakistan from 1988-90. He is elected member of senate of Pakistan in March 2021.

Syed Yousif Raza Gellani born on 9 July 1952 in Multan Punjab. He belongs to an influential Sufi Sunni Muslim family of Multan. He went to attend the Government College Lahore where he secured his graduate with B.A. in Journalism in 1970. He received post graduate degree in Political Journalism from Punjab University Lahore in 1976. He served as prime minister of Pakistan and Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan. He also served as federal minister of Pakistan.
