Faisal Mumtaz Rathore is the current Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. He is elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on 17th November 2025. He was elected as the 16th Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir with 36 votes in the 52 member AJK Legislative Assembly. He was elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir after a no confidence motion was passed against Chaudhry Anwarul Haq. He took oath as Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on November 18, 2025, which was administered President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry. He served Minister for Electricity, Minister for Local Government, and Minister for Rural Development. Politically Faisal Mumtaz Rathore was affiliated with Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Jammu Kashmir. He was elected Member of Azad Jammu Kashmir Legaistive Assembly from LA-17 Bagh-IV District in general election 2021. Faisal Mumtaz Rathore is the son of Begum Farhat Rathore and Raja Mumtaz Hussain Rathore. His father Raja Mumtaz Hussain served as Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir from June 29, 1990, to July 5, 1991.

Faisal Mumtaz Rathore was born on April 11, 1978, in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Faisal Mumtaz Rathore completed his early education in Rawalpindi and Muzaffarabad, attending F.G. Neelum Public School and Government Degree College for his intermediate studies. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and a master's degree from Jackson State University. Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore belongs to Haveli district. He belong to the Rathore Muslim Rajput community, which has influence there.
