Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq is the current Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. He is elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on 20th April 2022. He was elected unopposed as the 15th Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir with 48 votes in the 52 member AJK Legislative Assembly. He took oath as Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on April 19, 2023, which was administered President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry. He also served as a Speaker of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from August 2021 to April 2023. Politically Ch. Anwar ul Haq was affiliated with Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Azad Jammu Kashmir but He contested the election of the Prime Minister as an independent and he had the support of PDM. He was elected Member of Azad Jammu Kashmir Legaistive Assembly from LA-7 Bhimber-III District in general election 2021.

On 20 April 2022, he was elected as the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. He was elected Prime minister of AJK unopposed. Choudhary Anwar-ul-haq was born on in Azad Kashmir Pakistan. Chaudhry Anwarul Haq belongs to Bhabambar district. He received his primary education from St. Mary's Convent School, Rawalpindi. After his primary education, his family shifted to Lahore where he matriculated from Crescent Model School Lahore. After doing intermediate and graduation from Government College, Lahore, he obtained his LLB degree from Punjab University Law College. He was first elected Member of Assembly in 2006, Anwar Haq has been Speaker of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly twice.
