Chaudhry Abdul Majeed is the former prime minister of Azad Jummu and Kashmir. He took oath as Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on July 26, 2011 and remained in office until 30th July 2016 til compilation of his constitutional tenure.
Chaudhry Abdul Majeed was born in 1946. He is a Law graduate. He has served as a minister in the 1996 PPP government and speaker of the legislative assembly in 1998.He also served as Opposition leader from 4th February 2011 to 26th July 2011 .Politically Chuhdhary Abdul Majeed is affiliated with Pakistan people Party and current President of Pakistan People Party Azad Kashmir . He is also Member of current Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir 2016 .
